Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Anybody seen one of these Retro rocket lava lamp ?  Was it made by Lava lite, Mathmos, or an Australian company.  Great color but shipping to US is over $100.

While it is cool looking, I am thinking it is either an Aussie company or made in China, since they are saying it is a hard to find bulb, I would say made in China as and Aussie company would make a more common sized bulb for their customers

WOW! S/H is $101, I think I'll have to pass on that lamp.

Thats a carramar lamp. It was made by a company called carramar in australia.

I'd love to have one but cannot afford the shipping.

They are very cool and they were very easy to rewire. Here is mine.

Wow. I love that lamp. Can shipping really be $100?

I bought this from someone in the states but I have shipped a lamp to downunder and it was almost that much. I think it was $70ish about a year ago and I used fedex.

Wow, ok, so it's really that much. I can do shipping every now and again, but that's too rich for my blood. Super cool lamp though.

Awesome lamps, these Carramars. To me, they have a "vintage-that-never-was" look to them.

S/H is expensive as the lamp weighs 2.83kg. I'm sure the base and cap is made of chrome steel. They were made with pride in Australia.
