"...I wonder if the lamps I'm customizing have a 52oz or 250oz model? I would LOVE to find one of those!"
The more I get into motion lamps, the bigger I'm inclined to go. The 52oz century that I'm (hopefully) about to get will be my biggest lamp so far. I want a grande!
But back to cylinder-shaped lamps...as a lot of people here know, I kinda love them. I tried to imagine a 250oz one of these, then the next day I see this on ebay:
I'm afraid I have to have that.
I'm also afraid that I will NOT have that, as it's listed on ebay for $400. :-/
But it's 20 inches tall! Considering how short the base is, that's gotta be a 250oz globe on there.
WANT. SO. BAD.
Didn't someone already post something about this style lamp on here? I know I saw something like it, but I assumed it was the flared version of the same 32oz model that I have...now I don't think that is the case. I think the original poster was asking "what is this?" or something, but I've searched and searched, and I can't find it.
Does anybody know what this is, where it's from, etc?

Um, you are still talking about lamps, right??
Wawmp-chikka wawp-waw
I really like the proportions of mine.
LOL! Anyway...
I just determined that I have the small one of those lamps, and I know for a fact that the globe has a 20oz capacity, because I checked it with my lamp (which had a moth in it from the factory...true story). For some reason I thought it was 10-11 inches, but it's taller than that. It's the same height as the 32oz cylinder lamps, but the width is narrower. That would make the large size have a 32-52oz capacity, looks like. Again though...I'm probably wrong. :p
Oh wow, is that globe flared slightly at the bottom, or is that just me?
Oh, and yeah...that's quite a difference. :p These things are not as big as I was thinking. Still, that's got to be a 52oz globe on there! It's definitely a bigger globe than the ones on my 32oz lamps. It appears to be slightly wider, and taller. I'd say that's about 20oz worth of difference.
Nice! For some reason, when you said it had no cap, I thought you were saying it had no base and cap. Drrrp.
One nice feature about the bottom of the globe is that it is threaded. A slight twist once its placed onto the base and you have it locked in. I do believe this lamp was a toss in with a package deal; the true prize in my eyes with the transaction was a mint pink/pink silver Century screw top (hell no before you even think of asking on that one). I would be more than happy to make the glitter lamp yours Loren.
I suspect that the globe may be a bit more than 52 ounces and I will google mathematical equations to see if I can find that out. I know the height of the liquid as well as the diameter. Surely I should be able to calculate volume. I just can't remember what I may have learned 25 years ago in high school though.
One addition - I do have a cap I could throw in. Not quite right for the lamp, but I know you have the painting skills to do something with it. Boss bought me an off brand lamp while she was in Bulgaria. At first I was "oh swell", but then I saw it was a crystal clear blue/blue globe. Better yet, a blue/blue globe that was the same globe that my Hot Ricks Tiki lamp was using. Blew away my clear/orange Goo Kit refill, so the base/cap it came with is an extra at this point. The cap is pointed and silver, but it does cover the metal globe cap and is almost a perfect fit, although ever so slightly smaller in circumference than the globe.
I will take an extra pic of what could be a "complete" lamp (base, globe and cap) and you can use your mind's eye to determine how it would look if the cap color matched the base color.
