Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

We bought this table for less than 10£ at a flea market, had to do some repairs though.

Now if only these were sold in the USA, I would love one - I adore fountains as much as I love lava! Does this have multiple lights? It'd look cool with a few bulbs - red-blue-green-amber or red-blue-green. If you can post detailed photos of the pump assembly, I might have ideas.

From what I understand, the fountain was the problem in these tables and used to work somewhat haphazardly. I can't figure out how it works either, it's possible that some part is missing. I have however bought a new pump that could be glued with industrial glue, it hurts a little though that I can't restore it to it's original state, if I go this route with the new pump no one can restore it at a later state either. Some thinking and research needs to be done. :-)

So very 50's, somewhat pre-lava era but somehow akin to lava in its kitschness. A rare find!
