Idk. I think it was because it was special made small batches. The large batches are prob easier to make.

I don't understand that, Trev.  If they don't have a high failure rate on regular globes, why would a custom fill do that?

I talked with mathmos the other day. I wanted to buy clear master fluid... There looking into it. And the stopped doing custom fills because they had a high failure rate.... And mathmos is very picky about quality of there lamps

That blue is lovely, I sure wish Mathmos still did that.   I have that one Flui, yellow, but I could play musical globes like you all do.   Not too sure blue on yellow base would be as pretty as blue on white (opal) though.
