Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

The top photo of the cap is how I got it.
The second photo is after sanding with 2000 grit sandpaper.
The third photo is after painting with "aluminum" paint.

Its not possible to get a chrome like finish using typical spray paint. To get a chrome finish on plastic you have to use vacuum metallizing which I cant do, so this is the best I can do.

The paint job is flawless which is rare for me, so I am happy with the results. Its not a mirror like finish, but it is shiny. Good enough?

Now to fix the cloudiness.
