There were also some containing clear liquid and a bit of colored oil. The bubbling action tosses drops of oil upward.

The really amazing one is the vintage 1940s "Shooting Star" by Peerless. It contains two liquids, one denser than the other, and the bubbles shoot upward and then fall again.

Those are really cool. :) I have some bubble lights, but the candelabra I got is the wrong size.

I got mine from Ebay a few years ago, they're no longer being made.
