That is my thinking too, it will be out of sight, man was It a heart breaker of a discovery. I think the long crack should weld up pretty good and hopefully I can salvage-lift the serial number sticker so that it can be laid back down and kept original. My worry is that little connected tooth-shaped crack off to the left. I have a feeling any attempt to pull the plug will cause that little chunk to bust off in its current condition :(
I have ordered some solvent cement and have a game plan. Initial sealing of the long crack and upper/corner area of the tooth crack, let it bond and seal. Then very carefully try to extract the plug, have a drink with success two drinks with failure. Proceed to cement all areas of those lil guys with the plug off, purchase Lava fluids, top her off and figure out how to get that lil devil plug back in, haha.
Upon completion sit back and add an umbrella to the drink and stare, maybe drool a bit.
That crack sucks. :(
At least it is located in the best possible area.
You will not be able to see it when the vessel is on it's base. :)
