Your wave machine is low on liquid

Thank you for the correction. I did notice that the mist wasn't the same but thought it was a different kind of mist. You are a treasure trove of information Jonas.

Also: Aside from the Champagne Mist color sold in many models in the first year or two of production, my suspicion is that the narrow 'elegant' bottles were thin enough that the misty liquid used in them, instead of hiding the lava, may have provided a sort of translucent but NOT transparent colored background.

Original colors were red/green mist, lime/green mist, yellow/orange mist, blue/blue mist. Others may have been offered later. A few years later, with the newer Enchantress style (and ONLY with those two models) the lime/green, though with regular liquid, was offered alongside red/clear, orange/yellow and green/blue.

Not mist, sorry. A little bit about the color number 03. In the 60s and very early 70s, it was green/blue. Then they switched to what was called "sage green" lava in blue liquid, and still called it green/blue. THEN they switched to cream-colored lava in blue liquid for the remainder of the 70s, and STILL called it green/blue.

Then came the 80s. They darkened the liquid somewhat and called it white/blue.

The green/blues always had some issues. The liquid tended to fade, and the cream lava ones' wax sometimes cooked to amber or even a rootbeer color. What you have is the sage green green/blue 103, slightly clouded ('mist' liquid is cloudier than this) and with the liquid very faded. It's no less beautiful. The sage green had one other problem that yours doesn't have; for reasons unknown, it often shows up "aged" to: murky 'pond scum green' lava with loads of air bubbles, in murky yellowish-tan liquid. I have one like this that still flows perfectly, but looks disgusting - at my BF's suggestion, I put a little sign on it IDing it as "The Snot Rocket". Yours has aged well despite the fade!
