"Let There Be Neon" is wonderful. A book called "The Light Artist Anthology" has several pictures of the Sinas' works, including an amazing panel made of a dense row of phosphor-coated tubes which light up in various colors when viewers run their hands over the surface. I think they were also behind a row of tubes attached at their midpoints to a long horizontal cable; it had torsion introduced at one end by a motor which would cause oscillating waves down the row of tubes.
I used to apprentice in a sign shop, mostly doing neon art, but I didn't train long enough to get really good at it. I know the basics, enough to have a deep respect for the talented artists like these two.
Neon rules. If you've never read a book titled "Let There Be Neon" I suggest you search for and pick up a copy.
Do you OWN two Sina pieces? As a neon art nut, I bow to you.
