Kiramarie,
The link in the thread below this one is more interaction between the member stopping making his sprays and why...this is the FAQ's between him and the original owner's of the lighting and a "How TO"...pretty interesting read even if you don't wanna give it a go. From what he said you need like full body armor to tackle these things.......Good luck and happy I could find that link for ya...

I'm going to find the thread for you kira.......don't think they are a goohead...and I think it was a member who posted it from someone else or so the story goes. Yep, hair stylists did cut those sprays because they knew the correct angles. Story has it that they had to be in full body suits and many were hurt and due to high liability lawsuits and injuries it was stopped. I'll look for that link......it was a walkthrough tutorial not a vid.....
make a spray.. if this brain allows me to remember.. i believe the story is lady hair stylists would sit in room with lamps lit while trimming them to perfection... or perhaps not spinning.. or both.. idk but i do know they were hand "styled" by the gals.. I cannot imagine where to find such fine glass.. and how crush-able this glass is.... how to pack so perfectly then resin off the ends with the right resin.. heat resistant and wont turn yellow from heat.. ..oh ya.. nightmare. . and tons of glass slivers in every inch of a body.. I have dissected all mine.. just trying to unlock their secrets or tweek or get motor running again.. cleaning the color wheel.. even using glass paint on a few that got super faded..... hey is that person a goo head ?? do they have a video.. would love to see..
I really wish they were because other then the motor and bulb, there really isn't much that you can't replace and restore on them. Cept for those sprays.....there was a member who gave a whole tutorial on how to make your own, but just reading it gave my OCD OCD and ADHD......you get the idea, lol!!!
my bad i thought comment said sprays are available.. I see i misread..
there is a tricky but effective technique to cleaning them.. I have about 20 fantasias 7 polys optics and one big gorgeous boy from Germany.. the ONLY one I have not cleaned.. as i am to freaked out to loose any of the strands.... love em all.... like it or not i clean em every so often .. always gonna loose a few glass strands.. but the difference in the glow.. and light effectiveness is worth it.. i do have two I hate to clean... but . who and where sells glass sprays ??
..
I think the dome over the sprays is a wonderful idea because they get so dusty and dirty and now you can't even get replacements.....I want a fantasia, but a lot of the ones I see on ebay are either too expensive or need work.
One of the great scores to go down in lava history!!!!!
offical envy... she is a beauty...
