Wow, good to know! :) Thanks for the info. I didn't really know anything about them until I saw this one. I bet the blue is awesome.

Yes, the 642, 643 and 700 came in 1991 with the "Hot New Colors!" promo, which also included the Princess (coral pink/clear, lemon yellow/clear, purple/clear - when these came out they were stunning!) and the orange/orange, pink/pink, and purple/clear Midnights. This also coincided with the Coach Lantern being discontinued. The GemLites were discontinued around 1993, hence the rarity of those three colors; I've seen about three pinks, one blue, and no gold. I never even saw a gold one new in the store when I bought my 650 silver in '92.

Very nice score! The Confetti GemLites flow really nicely, unlike any other glitter lamp I've owned.

Thanks for the input Jonas. I don't know much about these lamps, but was excited to win it. When were they produced? I think the 90s? It is indeed away from sunlight and I love running it every night! :)

Erin, if I haven't said this before... That Confetti model GemLite, specifically model 642 (as well as model 643 with blue liquid) are VERY rare. Only GemLite rarer is model 700, brass base w/ golden glitter in clear liquid. Hang onto that and keep it far away from sunlight!!
