hey.
i´ve had the same problem with the green dye. i tried two different green packs. the same effect. i added the dye to the rising goo at the top and watched the mixing closely. one moment it was still green and a few seconds later the same piece of dye converted to a definite red. a few days later i was mixing a light turquoise out of blue and yellow. the result was great... then i decided to add a "bit" more blue to make it more opaque... i thought it´s unlikely that this issue will happen with the blue color, too. and BOOM: the same problem. i tested two different packs, too. i have no idea what this bizarre effect is. both lamps (52oz) look horrible now :( i will dye the rest of my goo very, very carefully. beside a few other strange issues my first gookit experience was very disappointing... but i think i will give it a new try some day.
Hi! No, I don't think so...I think the green dye may be a little contaminated with red! You and I are not the only ones who have had this happen, where the wax looks purple when warm, but green when cold.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who used MT green dye and got purple... :(
...Sort of.
