I finally got the color right, and the flow about perfect, and the wax is now staying on the coil! Yay!!!!!

Thanks, alla youallz! I'm having bad troubles with the wax coming off the coil completely in this lamp, but when it's on the coil, it flows perfectly...so I KNOW I got the liquid about right, but I just need the wax to stay on the coil! Maybe I'll try Jus' trick, and try to heat up the coil & all that.
A lovely lamp, and you did a grand job on the restoration!
I really like the yellow orange combo Loren.
LOREN! This looks amazing! Well done!
Thanks, you guys! This is one of the 60's low wax level lamps with the 2-part base. The wax is original, but the water has been replaced with distilled water, rock salt, and a tiny bit of clear dish soap. I used some ink from a yellow marker to dye the water, because I've had better luck with that not losing its color after a while. The flow was iffy at first, and the wax wouldn't stay attached to the coil, but after a LOT of tweaking of the water, and a lot of runs to "marry" the water and wax, the thing spikes just like my 74, and runs amazingly. That last run had me going YEAH!!!
I have a newer "china" globe, Pink/Yellow that in pictures looks a lot like this.
Very nice! What did you use for the yellow water dye?
I likey!!! Colors are great, Loren!
