Just goes into a ball and floats in the middle of the lamp. It happened with both my Lava Brand lamps, so I swore only to buy Mathmos from now on.

really? I haven't had that problem yet, we've had it and ran it for about a month......I'll keep an eye out for that problem.

I have the same one but in green/blue. Nice little lamp but keeps coming off its coil ...boo
