i got this Century about a month ago its pretty nice..and not cloudy!
The Kenart tornado lamp i recently got a couple days ago..its dated 3-15-1997..i cant figure out how to change the water..the top doesnt seem to be removable

Sorry to hear about yours quitting! I see that the rocket top is snap fit to the liquid bottle, I fear a strong pull on this will break the plastic tabs. It seems to run pretty good, an occasional rattle from the propeller but not too bothersome. Picked it up off the shelf, put it back down. Walked down the aisle and ran back to it saying eff it, $6!
I never did figure how to change the water out. I was able to remove the bottle from the base..and it's sealed. Mine recently stopped working..the motor went out so it's just a paper weight now. That's cool you found one at a thrift store!!
Chris, I just snagged the glow in the dark model of that tornado lamp at thrift today, near MIB! The water is a little murky in mine and the glitter no longer glitters. Have you figured out a way to open this lamp to strain the beads, add fresh water and mo' glittah?
