I think 1997 was the last year for screw tops on the 52z.

i stand corrected as i just took a second glance at the box and saw 1997 lava world international. my bad. i guess they used screw caps a while longer than noted on the lamp age page.

the stamp was indeed a tad hard to read but i did a little research on the lamp age page and from what i read, screw caps were used until 1995 which is what this lamp has. so if it was manufactured in 97' it would have had a bottle cap.

So I think that 1 must be a 7 in the 1997 stamp on felt. Others I have seen with faded numbers due to uneven placement of stamp during a rushed job in production!
