Guess again!
I knew I had another spare heritage grande, just in case I ruined this one, so I figured "what the heck" and fixed it by adding a second coil. While I was at it, I added an entire tub of MT yellow goo dye, turning the grande electric orange! I LOVE IT NOW! Here is the newly orange grande, next to a clear/orange midnight.

Thanks, you guys! :D This is my favorite lamp now...I have wanted a giant-szed orange lava that flowed amazingly and spiked really well for YEARS, and I finally have one! I had to go through hell to get it, but it wound up being worth it.
It's a really beautiful color, Loren.
A master stroke! Brilliant!
Loren, you are officially a wizard, can I borrow your shrink ray gun to do this too?!
