i did ask mathmos about a refill when they launched monster and got told it would cost £350 plus delievery, which i cant justify paying out at the present time, also refilling isnt a easy process, if the bottle isnt cleaned and dried the wax can stick to the sides easy and if that happens then youre wrecked it, id give it a go if they dropped the price to half that amount lol

So you got it off another collector / enthusiast I guess. 300 quid is a absolute bargain for something like that - not much is known about them as they really weren't commercially available when first made.

To do it justice I really think you should get it down to Mathmos and get them to fill it up - there is one in the mathmos showroom and | think its running on the current Mathmos formula.

sure is tim, ive owned it since 2002 and paid i think £300 with petrol money, it came from poole and had lava in it like what mathmos are using in the monster lamps, i had a refill made up a while after for £150 but that clouded so ended up refilling with grande glitter. it works fine
