New color combo at Spencer's - Green/Black

52oz. $20. First run. The glass is HORRIBLE, though you can't see it in this pic. Full of light pinholes, a few smears, etc. The glass is pretty awful. Also, as you can see, the color combo on the box does not equal the color in real life. If I can take a decent pic of this lamp, why can't Lava Lite?! Sheesh.

I really do like the color combo though. More updates as I get in more runs.

Also, a black base would have been preferred for this combo. I'll be drilling and painting this one.

@Bridget, I must have lucked out with my orange/black, it's very nice and the globe is not bad either! Go figure? And it was an "online" Spencer's purchase. I expected a cloudy mess with a crappy globe. I was very pleasantly surprised!

Comment by Erin on September 6, 2013 at 7:13am: I honestly can't believe I got a pic that good when it really looks so awful. After I turned off ALL the lights, you can barely see the lava moving inside the lamp. It's so dark. And the glass is some of the worst I've seen.

If I can't find another globe to put this in, it's going back. It's horrible to look at when the lights are off.

I saw pink/blue (they said it was purple/blue) at Spencer's and it was even worse. I wouldn't bother.

Anyone have a 52oz. globe that's not shitty they want to send me?

But the 2nd & 3rd pictures don't look very good. Man, they really have to improve their quality on these lamps. I was thinking of getting the new pink/blue combo but then I read a review that it's a really dark lamp so I decided not to.
