Im trying to figure this out....I got it flowing right but now all it is doing is creating tiny balls.

most lamps i've owned will flow like that when they are too hot.  maybe try to move it away from the other lamp and/or put it on a dimmer.

Its a 2000 lamp (Lava lite)...the last one my uncle had from when he had his part in the company.

what year is it?  if newer, it may just be crappy flow from a china lamp.
