Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

This was my first grande. It shipped very cloudy, so I contacted Susan at Lava Lite and was sent another for free. The new one was perfect, but one night I left it on and fell asleep. It wasn't dimmed and it overheated ruining the flow for good- so I swapped out the fluids.

Mine always worked great at any temperature. The house is usually 73 at night which is right around where the lamp likes to be for startup. Ceiling fans will greatly affect the flow because it keeps the glass cool. My ceilings are low so we don't have fans.
The wax just got fried I guess- China lamps blek

I had three of these, 2 pink and 1 green. They ALL did the pea-shooter thing after the 3rd or 4th run. I opened them up and added a second coil, but it turns out ALL of those globes run better when you put black electrical tape over the holes in the base. If you don't, then the slightest breeze will knock the temp down inside the lamp base. I have tried this with all 3 of the bases, and it works.

It does the pea shooter thing with all the wax stuck on the bottom no matter how long I ran it. Probably should've tried a second coil but instead put some of the wax into my coachlite lamp and gookited the grande

I love it when it does the column thing top to bottom. I have 3 other grandes and none of them do this. Sadly this lamp stopped flowing as well D=
