gosh, that is sad. chances are they knew about this site and were a member. anyone know of any collectors in the seattle area that you haven't heard from in a while?
the story from the goodwill was that someone had passed away, and they had a huge lava lamp collection. They came in with over 50 lamps.
I wonder what the story is on this one. How did it end up at a goodwill? The vast majority of these are sitting boxed up in the LavaLite warehouse in Chicago. For someone to drop it off at a goodwill they must not have known what is was which makes me wonder why they even had it.
This was a really lucky find at goodwill. :) Sadly, they lost the top cap! (they said, it came in with it)
Wow - was this custom job or a amazing find as LL was taking about releasing a grande starship.
That's a classic color and I think you would enjoy it, but if you do that try coloring the water is steps so you don't get it too dark. I don't think you want to sun fade it at this time of year!!
lol, great comments :) any thoughts on coloring? I'm thinking dark blue liquid, and white lava. I change my mind about every 5 minutes though :)
The Emperor will be pleased
Oh, I think this is a definite addition to the Starship group!
So much awesome, the cap couldn't contain it! Hope you find/get a replacement man, queue up the CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE phrase from Command and Conquer if so!
