I take solace in the easy flow of the warmed gel, floating & morphing.... you know. Have had an ebbing & flowing collection of cheap & tawdry lamps that now stands about 31, all displayed and functional. I rarely turn them on in mass (too much respect for the environment & all, that & too cheap)... however I place & rotate several lamps in conspicuous locations throughout the home environment, so that moment of quiet introspection, is generally there when you need it and often found serendipitously. I have yet to introduce a lamp into the workplace... I already skate on that fine line of conformance.

FIRST, whats that all about? I would naturally assume most Lava-Lamp-Lovers would have a fuzzy period pushing back into "that-time"... well maybe that's just me. How about the first lava lamp actually purchased... it was "probably" one of the old anodized-brass hourglass models with the pin holes... the bigger one with a pee-yellow amniotic fluid & blood red goo... found at a flea market in south jersey... berlin mart, took it back to the apartment and it was our decor... ahh good times.
