Building up my stock 001 - Spray Paint

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find spray paint around here. Seriously. A lot of places don't even carry it any more because of all the kids huffing it. :( Sad.

...And rather frustrating for me! I need that crap for like...you know...what it was INTENDED for? Anyway, here's what I've managed to find so far! That's red, blue, royal blue, purple, gold, and black...all metallic. :) The Krylon says it's safe up to 600 degrees F, but the other one says only 200. I think that kind will still work though, on these particular lamps. They only have 30 watt bulbs (perfect for a goo kit), so they never really get that hot.

I DID have to show an ID! Every place where I bought that paint! I still don't blame the kids though...not totally. I did some pretty stupid, unhealthy things when I was a kid, before I discovered something much safer, which grew from the ground. >AHEM...

Before too long we will have to give a fingerprint and show I.D. for some damn paint. Thanx, HUFFERS!! Lookin' good, Mark.

You should see it in person...I could never charge anyone $40-$50 for this! It does look much better in the picture, but I have to make sure it looks PERFECT in person...no flaws. Fun! :P Good thing I like a challenge!

It doesn't look too bad. I want to try some!

I just got through trying out the blue one. That stuff is hard to use! I shook it as long as it said to, and applied it just the way it said to...it's splotchy. I did just realize that I hadn't washed the cap in soapy water and dried it beforehand, so there might have been some oil or something on it. I'll have to strip this experiment off and try again. :-/

I love those metals Krylon colors. I want some of that!
