Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

this is for all carbooters, 2 years ago i bought a lunar bottle,(geen clear)  £35 bargain. always hoping to find a lunar, then after 5 years on the hunt, last sunday she appeared, like a shining light a LUNAR, my first thought was i,m buying this whatever the price, how much can it be at a carboot? £100_£150_£200 maybe £250. the lamp was in good condiction, lovly clear red _purple bottle, mathmos lunar sticker, its only fault is 3 small dents on the cone. so with my heart pounding i had to make the deal, quickly, before anybody else (if you want to know how the deal went down, get in touch) but for the rest of you . how much did i pay, £40 i kidyou not,  so car booters keep the faith, good luck. lavalee,

"what the hecks a carboot?"

They often happen regally in the summer / warmer months in the UK and its where people will turn up at a set location - pay a set amount for there car (filled with stuff to sell) and set up there stuff to sell and people come to check it out and get some bragins.

The stuff sold can be anything and everything - from lava lamps to antiques etc.

If I am translating my Englist to american correctly, a carboot would be the trunk of a car and therefor a carboot sale would be selling out of the trunk of a car, so somewhat flea market/garage sale like

That's quite amazing - did the seller know how much they could have got for it or did they just want to get rid of it.

I am still waiting for the day when i find a luner in a charity shop, hevent yet but still close - I found a boxed Astrobaby for £10 a fue days ago - thats the closest so far.
