Replacement bulb for a vintage cuda fiber optic lamp

Can anyone help me where to get a replacement bulb for a vintage cuda fiber optic lamp. I was given a lamp by a friend but it had no bulb in it. I plugged it in and it appears to be working just can’t find the exact size and type of bulb, it looks like a car bulb but a car bulb won’t work for a lamp. Any help would be appreciated

No, a car bulb will NOT work. they will blow your lamp's internal mechanical components. Car bulbs have only one connection point on the underneath BOTTOM base of the bulb, the bulb you will need will have two. The connection is NOT the protrusions on the side. Take the bulb you have to your local hardware store to match it, or a lightbulb or lighting store. They have these places called Batteries & More over here which carries many bulbs. But any Ace Hardware should be able to also help you. Just remember you need a low wattage or the heat can damage the color wheel if you have one. You might also be able to find an LED version

Is a bayonet bulb one in which you twist and press down and has a couple of small protrusions on opposite side that keep it locked in so to speak similar to many car bulbs, at least older cars?

Sounds like a bayonet bulb. they are available via mail order or any good hardware store usually can stock them because sometimes they are used in appliances. Make sure you match the wattage

Please take a picture of the part where the bulb is attached.
