It is a shame that Mike Pratt left us early...very talented man (and indeed cool and unique in all I've read to boot!), and not just as Jeff Randall on Randall and Hopkirk (Jeff has replaced Marty Hopkirk as my favorite of the pair with constant viewings of the show...as much as I like and respect Kenneth Cope, I've come to where I think Pratt brought that much more pizzazz to the show), but in quite a few other roles too. Even though he had quite a few TV and film roles, Mike was very much a theatre man. As a matter of fact, I'm paying tribute to that aspect of Mike in my next art/creative project...in addition to some picture frames and different scrapbook paper 'stacks', trying to get my hands on quite a few programmes for plays that featured Mike.
Speaking of Cult TV...I notice you're a Doctor Who fan. ;) I have to confess that I've not watched a ton of Doc Who, but what I have seen, I've liked. At the risk of being unoriginal, Tom Baker is my favorite of the Doctors. In all I've seen of actual entire episodes and clips on YouTube, I just love what he brought to the character.
Hi Jerome, thanks for the warm welcome. Think I'll feel right at home here. Very interesting site thats just oozing with neat stuff to check out!

jerome, thank you for the nice welcome, could you advise me, is there a place where I can get my lava lamp cleaned, i wouldn't bother if it was a small one, however I have brought a large lava lamp from the gadget shop, the inside of the lava lamp is filthy, I so want it cleaned and would pay for it to be cleaned, it looks like someone has smeared the whole of the glass container inside, you cannot see it from afar, but on close inspection it is filthy! thanks annie howes
And I cannot help but say that being quite the Anglophile (and having been such a thing throughout a great chunk of my life), I am highly jealous of your getting to call London/the UK home. ;)
Oh, and yes, your lava and fiber optic collections are very splendid. *applauds*
Just found your site today and was feeding my head with all sorts of great tid bits... I build props for my studio all the time , so I found a particular article about making "your own" lava lamp quite intriguing... some thing I will be trying on for size in the future... thanks for welcoming me aboard.
Thanks for the kind welcome, I much appreciate it and am happy to have finally gotten around to joining this site. It's crazy that there are others out there as obsessed as I am with these lamps. Now, I just gotta get my profile goin.
Hi Jerome! I've been lying low because I had a baby in December! I'm back in full swing now! Today I'm fiddling with this cheap glitter lamp I ordered from ebay. Glitters are a mystery to me. Yours are so pretty! How've you been?
Thank you for the warm wishes! Boy you have quite a collection. You should set-up an entire lava/light show/robot room. I saw a photo of one on the internet somewhere that was coordinated orange and black upholstery, shag rugs and such that was rather amazing.
Gotcha Jerome ;O)
Well thank you for the friendly message,There's sooo many members here now. I hardly see anyone who used to post.
I'm still in shock over the filtering of the cloudy lamps revelation.... it's a great thing!

Peace.
It took awhile to photograph my filtered Giant red/clear showing just the right flow...
