so you can run like a hotter15 watt bulb and the dim it down once goo is melted? Are you using a hotter bulb?

great idea probably should do that with mine

i'm using a 100w bulb.  i usually run the bulb at full wattage until the wax melts, and then i turn it down until i get a nice snake-like flow.  it works really well.

looks like an on off rotary switch. Get at your hardware store.

Gotta change the cord though

well you don't have to I suppose just leave the wheel line through switch always on.

i still turn the lamp on and off with the cord switch so that electricity isn't always flowing to the rotary switch.  it's just a personal preference though.

hey what exact type of switch and where to get?
