I use LED bulbs when I can as well, as they are brighter and cool/white instead of hot/yellow.

The custom color wheel you are using looks MUCH nicer than the original one!

Was it difficult to install?

Hello MileHigh, Thanks, Yes LED is the way to go with these lamps, very little heat, and they don't fade the color wheels. and yes it was a little difficult to get the color wheel out. I had to drill out some small rivets to remove the top piece holding the color wheel in place.

beautiful! I have an aluminium Mathmos fibre optic lamp that I'm going to upgrade with an LED lamp, not sure wether to just go for a colour changing LED bulb or keep the colour wheel and change the bulb to a cool white LED light source. Where did you get your colour wheel from as its the exact effect i want?
