Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have and no matter how much dye I add there is a red tinge to it. It's so weird. I sure wish I could make a pure green. Anyone have any ideas?

If all you're doing is adding the green dye to the clear goo and red is showing up it's probably one of two things.
Something in the goo could actually be separating the red and yellow parts of the dye and you just can't see the yellow because the red is darker...
Or there is an actual chemical reaction going on between a component of the dye and a component of the goo.

Interesting! Now how to fix it! Ha!
