I got an orange/orange midnight with the original box thinking it was an orange/white. Unless i'm reading the box incorrectly, it seems there was no orange/white midnight. Are orange/orange unusual? I don't remember seeing any before. Just curious....
Thanks
Ok here is a couple pics of mine. One is in front of some fountian in front of these real nice appartments lol made for a good pic and the other is of mine and my best freind's he owns a silver one. And yes I know i have TA wheels they where on the car when i bought it and im to cheap to buy new ones if it don't make H.P. it's not on the top of my list to replace lol
Yeah I have the production numbers somewhere in a book (can't remember what they are) but they where really low for the SS each year. So with time we will definitely have a more and more rare car.
Yes!! In about 1992 or 93, "Hot New Colors" (so said the catalog) came out for the Midnight: orange/orange and pink/pink, both rather rare but the orange moreso. They were eventually switched to white lava, same model numbers.
The later "Electric" had white/orange/orange, yes, same in red, pink, purple and, later, green, as these colors came out in white lava. When first introduced, and still entirely blacklight-responsive, the "Elec-Trick" series was as follows:
9110: red/clear, red base (10 is RED, 06 is Princess "red coral")
9211: yellow/clear, yellow base (11 is bright yellow, 08 is Princess "lemon")
9312: green/clear, green base
9413: blue/clear, blue base
9514: pink/clear, pink base
9615: orange/clear, orange base
9709: purple/clear, purple base
I'm glad you cleared that up I was wondering y there was 2 kinds or electiks 1 is actually the florescent series. And its funny you mentioned the "orange elek-trick and blue flourescent" because I just bought both the blue last week and the orange is in the mail.
yeah you really should make a post for everyone, newbies and people that may have been collecting for a while but just didn't know or realize the difference in these two or other lamps that existed in the past. Is" http://endoftherainbow-gifts.com/lavanumbers4.html " your creation or just something you found? Not to take away from others with site's on here but I found this to be great I seen lamps that I didn't know ever existed it is great to see all the diffrent retired lamp's in chart form.
