I know it's not considered a really old model, but I love the color of the lava on this!! I'm not paying that price however, just wanted to share the listing. I'm pretty new to lava, but if I could find one of these cheaper....it would be on my table!

yeah, I'm watching one that with shipping if it sells around what it's listed at will be around $20, which is my max, lol. I just thought the purple in it looked great!

Way over priced. At that price point, it should have a box and shipping and insurance should be included. Even so, still too much. That is the most widely available color. Along with blue/white and blue/yellow.

oh, thanks Kris, I hadn't seen many of the clear/purple, so I didn't know, but if I can get one new/gently used with a working bulb for $20 or under I'd be happy! Goodness, the bulb for our other one is getting frustrating to find, lol!!

I agree with you, I have one that is made in the USA, and I'm pretty sure the other one is not. I think my mom bought it at Wal mart, lol. Remember when all they preached was how they only sold Made in the USA products? Not true of their lava lamps!! I am really enjoying the one I have, it's cap is the same as that in the auction......saving my pennies for a purple lamp!!

I just saw a clear/orange one that looked to be an older model with the holes in the bottom, and they wanted $400 for it!! THAT seems to be really high! It better be made of solid gold for that price!! Also they have Colossus ones for $800!!! That's TOO much, but they are huge and cool! Does anyone have one?

wow! That is a beautiful lamp!! did you do the base and cap paint yourself or did you buy it that way? Looks like you have it bolted to the floor, lol!! I'm really impressed, that is a HUGE lamp! I really want one, but like I said, the price, ouch!!! Where'd you get yours?

It's not bolted to the floor, that's actually a "top" piece to the table right behind it! Good idea, instead of frying carpet fibers!

awesome!! I am so mad I wasn't paying attention to the one I was bidding on that was clear/purple. I wanted that color combo so bad, and it got snatched away for 50 cents more than my bid...ugh. Probably one of you, lol!!!! Seriously, if anyone has an extra of the clear/purple and can part with it for around or less than $25 shipped I would love you forever!!
