Lava, stuck on the side and the top

Hi there, i've just been bought a lava lamp, which i love!!!

However, we very soon noticed, that the lava, only ever moves up the sides, and also that some is permanently stuck at the top, whats the best way to deal with this... Just leave it to get really hot and melt off???

It just says: 'the original LAVA brand'.

And that it's a Motion Lamp.

Cant get a picture at the moment :S Hope that helps. I left it too heat up, and it's started too work better, but some of the lava still just oozes up the side :(

Im going to just guess its a 20oz, heres what to do...take the globe and open the garbage can and insert globe then close lid..problem solved, and to prevent this problem never get another lava motion lamp again.
