Most are junk. Lava sticks to the sides or the top and over time will get worse.

I have a metallic silver-based one, it's a neat shape. Yellow lava/blue liquid, most common color combo these days next to yellow/purple. Given to me as a gift. Admittedly I haven't run it more than ten or fifteen times, but the flow is comparable to other import knockoff brands, i.e. better than new Lava brand, not as good as old Lava brand. No idea about the metallic lava ones.
