Transporting Lava Lamps

Id like to take my lava lamp with me to university. are there any points to consider when transporting them e,g, how i should pack them in my suitcase? any advice would be much appreciated,

When you fly if you check your bag... you can take as much fluid as you like. Only carry-ons are limited to 3oz. Stupid TSA can't protect crap.

Should be fine to fly. I took a fluidium on hand luggage once, customs people were like 'errr what is this?' You should keep the bottles upright because they can leak, then they look pretty bad.
