Posting this so that others may contribute their own ideas and experiences for DIY candle powered lamps.
I realized you can make a variety of candle powered lamps (mostly small). Just take a trip to the best Thrift Store in your area and check out the home section. They always have lots of candle holders and inscence oil burners.
The large gold round one pictured is for a 60's coffee / plate warmer, the black part is from an oven eye tray. Then gently sit the globe on top, and depending on formula should melt and flow well (60s / 70s capri globes I have tried and actually melt and flow!) The bottle is from small Olive or condiment jars, like Goya brand or something. The Black wrought iron one reminded me of a Mediterranean from PartyLite candles, but I found at a thrift store for $1. The pink glass one is from Ikea for $3 (haven't found a metal "Neck" to raise and support the globe yet.)
Be careful on the proximity of glass to flame of course at least 3 to 4" is probably a good range.
Of course metal bandings of spun aluminum to hold the glass to the candle holder is needed, and for myself like the average, just dont have access to metal spinning equipment.
Please feel free to post your projects and creativity here too!
