odd little desk lamp

i just saw this on craigslist, and had never seen one like it before: http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/for/1717425433.html

anyone have any information on this type of lamp? it looks too small to get a good flow..

Funny you should mention that. I got one off Ebay, it's on the way and may even arrive this afternoon.

I will give you a full report. I know nothing about it, I was just in the throes of Lava fever when I saw it and bid the rock bottom price.

Well, I got my little lamp in the mail, and it is "cute" but the lava portion is really tiny...and boy does it get hot!

As in "safety hazard" hot. Really.

Here it is next to one of the new Spencers 52 oz-ers (pink clear, which is a very reddish pink)
