Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at this lamp on ebay as, it is exactly the same base and top (base has lines around it) as the lamp I grew up with. See here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CRESTWORTH-MATHMOS-ASTRO-LAVA-LAMP-THE-BIG-ON...  How would you top up that liquid on such an old lamp without damaging it please? It was on a buy it now until someone bid on it, I would have bought it on that buy it now if the bottle had been full.

Thanks for your help :)

Thanks Bohdan, I won't bother bidding on it then, as I don't have another crestworth lamp and I wouldn't buy one just to top that one up. :) Cheers
It is a shame, I agree I think it's lost so much liquid, with it been an old lamp I've read somewhere that if touched incorrectly the lava can stop flowing completely.

GroovyPoet, when you were topping up the lamps with distilled water, how much water were you putting in and the lamp was then OK. How much water did you put in that broke the lamp please. Thanks.
