Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I am still waiting on the new lamps from Lava Lite so I decided to experiment with the distilled water, Epsom salt and surfactant to clear up my two 52oz black/clear globes.  They are moving pretty good and a world clearer than before..but it seems more like just big balls of goo floating up and down so I am wondering..does this mean I should add more surfactant (I use an organic wetting agent some others use soap)?   I have seen when people add too much soap a lot of smaller bubbles of goo form so my logic tells me to break these big balls down I should add more!

Thoughts?
