I have heard several folks say they cleared their cloudy LL's simply by running them through
a Brita (or equivalent) water filtration pitcher and it works great!
So, instead of a Brita, I decided to give this one a try since it has much higher ratings:

This experiment is kind of expensive since I am sure to go through a few filters just for one
Grande lamp, so if it does not work, all you guys who say it does, are going to be in trouble :) LOL!

Did you say you filtered a Grande through one or was it a 52oz LL?
Other's are saying only a;
http://www.amazon.com/MSR-56425-MiniWorks-EX-Microfilter/dp/B000BBF...
will work, but this is too expensive.
I just as soon GooKit all my Grande's!! except my blue/yellow which I ordered from Lampsplus.com looks pretty
good and not so cloudy that you cant enjoy the lava, so I am leaving that one alone ;)

This one is the filterpump with the best results.

Many in our community use this Filterpump. With this you can get a new totaly cloudy grande with one filter process 100% clear. It worth the money.
You must know that the Pur water filter is more for the Home to filter the piped water in the kitchen.
With the MST filterpump you can filter water of a pond when you are camping crystal clear.
Marcel, I am going ahead and buying one of these.
Can I filter one Grande without have to change filter?
Do you clean the filter or is it disposable?

Thanks Rici, I really love these Grande's, and will do whatever to get them right.
If I get a replacement for my blu/yellow Grande, that will make 4 (2, I paid for).
I also have some good quality stainless steel springs of various sizes on order, and am still going to
GooKit one of these puppies as I absolutly LOVE that Iceblue fluorescent Grande another member made.
No doubt you saw the pic he posted. I am going to make one :)
Once I get these Grande's "fixed", I am sending some before and after photos to the LL CEO with a nice long
letter :\
Rici, yeah I think you are right. I let my emotions take control of my better senses sometimes ;)
I really dont even know if Paula from LL is going to ship a replacement for my blu/yellow grande or
not, she seemed a little suspicious even though I told her that I have been running it for 8 hours every
day (its on a timer) for the last week or so and hasnt cleared up.
I was also surprised when I received my replacement purple/yellow Grande because they just sent me a
whole new lamp! I was only expecting to get a replacement globe!! :\ LOL!!
Excellent! I have plenty of distilled water since I am gathering the supplies I need to GooKit a lamp.
I should receive the filter today :)
Do you burp your lamps after replacing the water?

Maybe i can post a before and after picture of a filtered Grande.
You can use the MSR Filter a long time. But you have to follow some rules:
Clean it after use with destilled water, unscrew the parts and let them dry in the air for one week.
