White flakes

I purchased a lime green midnight. I heated it up and there are these white flakes. I read about this in china lamps, but not american lamps. Is there a solution where I don't have to open the lamp? I will add pictures if requested.

I think you will need to show us a picture, but think I know what you mean, I have seen them in the China lamps

and little floating specks in older US lamps.

I would just run it every day for about 8 hrs and see if it clears up.

Other than that, you have no other choice than to open it for filtration.
