These will not be very popular in Chicago.  Our Olympic bid not go so well.

I like the Olmypic idea for the lamp, but how about Mathmos get the Colour Fazing with a white wax bottle sorted and have the bottle go through the colours of the Olympic Rings...

Ahhhh, if only you shipped across the pond!  Or the TSA would allow me to buy an extra seat on the plane!  :)
Can you bring something out that is much more affordable? If I had that kind of money I wouldn't spend it on a lamp. Something Lunar sized or slightly bigger and wider perhaps.
I love the monsters, definitely a goohead's dream but if you have take a small loan out with a bank to get it then you have issues lol. The gookit makers, http://www.magmatower.com/products.html , sell the same lamps as the monsters for about $3500 less. Something more affordable and more local for Americans :)

Weeb,  you should get one of these (below).  Some of my Jet bottles tend to overheat more easily than others and this dimmer socket does an excellent job controlling light & heat & they are fairly inexpensive to buy....

What I like about the tall lamps,

There is enough room so that the wax does not overheat and the lamp can run for very long periods of time.

hey pete i use these as well, sod wiring a dimmer in!!

i run an extension lead off it so dim 4 lamps at once, works well as long as they all run the same.

I tried to get a couple of these sockets from amazon but they're all sold out. they will be ideal for my lamps cos i prefer a nice slow flow.

well a bit more expensive...

Far too expensive for the every day collector to buy let alone somewhere to put it !

Why not make something more like the size of the lunar ? A giant astro or telstar maybe ?

Something big but affordable i.e. £300-£500
