Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Okay, I received a another century lamp in the mail. It is cloudy. I don't know if it is dye leakage or shaking. The wax is purple or black and the liquid is supposed to be clear. The water looks orangey purple when on and off. Can somebody tell me if it is dye leakage or shaking and how to fix dye leakage?

If you cycle it I bet it will clear up. To me it looks like its just cloudy from shipping, and that usually goes away after a while. So sit back and let the lamp fix itself. The reason your seeing purple and orange might be because incandescent light bulbs give off a slightly yellow color, and all of the stuff clouding the lamp is reflecting that so you shouldnt worry about that until it clears up.
How long does shipping clouding usually take to clear up?
A week to a month.
Good i thought it was dye leakage at first and thought i would have to goo kit the thing
You have had the lamp for one day and your already considering kitting it? You need to slow down, its way too early to tell.
