Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

First of i am very sorry to have to post this as there is already a spot for this in the lava library, but the method there requires opening the lamp and i would like to avoid that. Back on topic, i have a mid 60s century orange yellow and the wax likes to stick to the side of the globe. It all gathers on the side and doesn't rise very high. I read I could add surf or dish soap to fix the sticking. I have the all natural soap that is clear and scentless and i also have goo kit surf. When i twist the lamp in a circle for a minute the wax comes off the sides and starts to flow but eventually gets stuck again. What should i do here.

I'm going to jump in here too 'cause I have a lamp that used to flow and didn't stick and now it sticks and doesn't flow. This was after filtering the liquid...twice, I believe.
i know how you feel because mine has the flow a champion when it flows but if i dont twist it every 20 minutes i starts to gather near the bottom on the sides
