Yeah I saw this the other day to, was like hmmmmm ..... thats a first that Ive seen somthing like that.

it looks quite crestworthy, but I think there's no way to be sure besides maybe opening it and see if the motor etc match the galaxy

not necessarily...there are some things out there which are unseen...for example, look at the right lamp in the link...if you ask me its a crestworth prototype...it was for sale afew weeks back but only uk...grrrrrr! But the base is totally crestorth stylee;) and it has an astro cap. so theres that. than we have the astro illumination prototype...only one existing and grant has it. also theres a copper version of the flowerlite...also unique and made by craven walker for his sister...grant has it...so far so good, also we have a few very very rare ones like the mk1 and 2 table lamps...I know of 2 pairs existing...ther gotta be more but no one knows where. There is the twiggy lamp...untill last year me and grant had the only 2 known of....then there were 4 more on ebay all the sudden...ok what did I forget...jet prototypes maybe...3 exist, jerome has two I have one. hmmmm hmmmm.....there gotta be more...have you seen the fluidium prototype? thats a nice one...also there are 3 blue fluidiums out there. There is more, but I think what I told here is more than even mathmos knows of, so be surprised what the next years wash on the bay of e;)

I see your point Arne - Mathmos probably made quite a fue prototypes, most of which didn't make it into production but lead on to something else. Some are either sitting in there office (quite likely) but people working for Mathmos have probably been given prototypes and decided to make some cash from they by selling them to collectors via Ebay.

So it therefor wouldn't surprise me if that was Cretsworth but even if it was and it was a prototype it would be hard to tell just by looking at it - you would need to take it apart and know exactly what you looking for to be sure.

Exactly! Another question would be: is there ANY other company who made fibre optics with domes besides fantasia from the us...also the dome is smoked, very galaxy like...what I could imagine is that it originally had fibres which got replaced by a spare flower part....but who the f### knows...
