Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Please dont ask for photos.. i am still impared in that dept.

I got my wave machine today... only took the dude two weeks to finally get it to me via fed ex.

wow

so here is the deal... A butt load of tiny bubbles of the blue substance sticking to inner walls of the unit... dont get me wrong its still killer and it is waving just like I remember it should.. and yes I am cool.. kinda.. this residue goes completely around the inner perimeter of the unit.  Reminding me of that residue a deep fryer will get after a couple times of use.

Is there a feasable way to remove this.. can I put it in the fridge ? Was it the heat that caused it..is it curable or just need to accept it.

i had the same problem with mine so i drained it filtered it and then put it back now is as good as new
hi krissy, did yours have all that residue stuck.. the clear part of the fluid is great no floaties and actually very little bubbles considering a week in transport. i guess once it is drained cleaning it out with maybe something gentle like some dawn oxy dish liquid might be suffice. I have to wonder if it was just the intense heat that almost cooked the blue substance to inside wall ..it does although stick seems like it wants to let go cause the bigger ones will release if i gently tap .. boy this is so not what I expected..  Like i said for 20. shiipping my wave should of been here in a day or two.. not over a week... live and learn...  any thought on the warm dish liquid rinse let me know...
I stuck my sticky tube in the fridge and it didnt fix the sticking. I gave the tube 4 really strong shakes to free the goo. I will report back tonight if it re-stuck.

I am quite sure the fridge has opposite affect on wave tube,.. it probably will fog over...

Oh my... Where's Jenna Jameson when you need her?  I think I need the emergency eyewash station after reading those sentences..

Well refrigeration and shaking worked. My wave tube is fixed. I even glued a lego brick on it so I could mount it on my new base. It looks great.
