Erin, that is the first color sticker like that I've ever seen, and considering how cloudy it is, I wonder if it'll end up being the thick oil lava. At the very least, it's 1966 or 1967. Perhaps the liquid tended to change to this with age? Maybe that's why it was discontinued?
Someday I'll take a red/yellow, try to dye it with fluorescent dye, and see what happens. I'll try to pick up one or two bottlecapped red/yellows at thrift stores for this!

Not only have I never seen that sticker but also never seen that address on Roscoe Street. I would put money on it that this is one of the first lamps ever produced (like first 90 days). The base looks like it may be copper. Totally awesome find Erin :)
Post up some more pics when it arrives.

I didn't even notice the address!
You can bet I'll be posting pics when I get it.
Here's the auction if you want to see the additional details: http://www.ebay.com/itm/260853392368?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_...
I wasn't really thinking about filtering, but rather a water re-do. Jim, didn't you refill an oldie like this? Your Imperial?
If I have any doubts, I won't touch it. :) I might even have it this week!!!

Erin, if I may suggest, I would not filter this! Regular cycling may clear it up, or, as hard as it may be, just letting it "rest". It does look like it flows OK so even though it is cloudy there is hope. ;)

Erin i got one 2 or 3 months ago like that, and i never filtered it. Now it is a beautiful century. Give it 4 months on 2 hours on 4 off. This is a great combo that shouldn't be changed out at all.
