Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi, not been in here really for over a year , But last time I was in LW Was in contact and was promising to sort out their dodgy flowing lamps and give us some new designs/ coils that would please us collectors. I am in the UK and I am afraid its just the same old stock here that you can buy. What was the outcome? Did they get back in contact? Videos of the new promised flow? Anything? Can't really find any info except for bashing threads. It was really a subject I was interested in. Thanks.

You guys in the US have a great selection of vintage lamps, where as in the UK we have Mathmos that haven't changed all that much over the years, If the postage wasn't a killer I would love to own a Midnight, Century or especially a Wizard. So you are correct kiramarie, why bother about such low quality Lamps, when the US probably has more than enough vintage lamps to go around :)

I feel you on over seas ship cost. A hard pill to swallow but..

I have found that buying two at one time has helped me in shipping costs though.. Example.. If I get two lamps fro UK at seperate times I will pay like 50 dollars more for shipping then if I get them at same time... Yes I still have the bite of an additional 60 cents or so to every dollar but we do what we do in the name of Lava..And once they get delivered and you see them flow... well its all good...

Ask Timothy for opinions... He would LOVE to speak it all out

Is there anywhere comparing a good quality lamp to the current LL? I really like how my wizards flow but I'm really curious what a good flowing lamp looks like. I'd also like to see a comparison between a beautiful vintage LL and a Mathmos. I think I've talked and hehawed about it enough. Time to look into getting a Mathmos again.

That can be sorted - my white and purpal swerl flows well so it will be a intresting to see a direct comparison between a USA globe and a Mathmos globe
