Dose any one know why lava discontinued the 52oz lamps? There my fav and make up most my Collection.

They still make the 52oz lamps - they have there 'designer premier' edition of them and just premier series. http://www.lavalamp.com/products/lava-lamps/163inch/

However I and none of the regular members at least would NOT recommend you buying them as since Lava Lite moved production from USA to china there lamps and especially globes have become rubbish (quite literary). I would say be aware that the 'China' Lava Lite items a very low quality compared to the USA made lamps and the flow is really bad or not at all.

They can be found online, eBay, Spencer's and many retailers like Target, Kmart, etc.

To each their own though. If you like them, then that's cool. But I would recommend getting a vintage 52oz. just to see the difference. :)

Wow look at those pics. I have 19 of the vintage 52. And I got three of the new ones . Two yellow and pink and they were great was lucky. But I also got a orange and black it was terrible! It really sucks when companies do that!

Other than buying vintage, what other company's make good lamps?
