I would like to know if putting a bigger diameter coil would improve performance, or diminish issues when wax is not in full contact with the coil.

I think that if you put a bigger coil in then it should work better - what is the size diffrance - could you show some photos of them.

No I can't, the stock coil of my Fluidium Grande is actually inside the globe with wax on it right now :-)

But I was tempted to put a bigger one when I made it the other day.

As I will certainly have to redo the lamp (bad goo kit), I'm still interested by any infos about coil size improvements.

It would be nice if anyone actually tried different sizes of coil in the same lamp, would tell us about the results.
